Every serious diagnosis of the moment ends at the same cliff: the institutions sold as safeguards are structurally dependent on the thing they claim to check. Naming that — the counterfeit safeguard — is the easy part. The question the diagnosis never answers is now what?
theFlux is one answer, built where it can actually be tested: coastal British Columbia. Sovereign AI compute embedded in community-owned towers. Physical custody as the trust boundary. Governance that runs through the people the infrastructure serves, not through a hyperscaler's terms of service. Democracy treated as an engineering discipline — epistemic infrastructure first, institutions second.
This is not a manifesto asking you to resist. It is a build log asking you to help pour the foundation. Twenty percent of what we are doing creates eighty percent of our solutions; this site exists to show you which twenty percent, and where you fit in it.
