Logging roads research. BC has built roughly 800,000 km of road, about 620,000 km of it resource roads — over 75% built by the forest industry (~480,000 km of logging road), growing somewhere between 6,000 and 25,000 km a year, with only ~40,000 km of forest service roads under provincial management. The striking finding: nobody — not even the Forest Practices Board — holds a comprehensive inventory. On Vancouver Island specifically, the north runs mostly on Crown FSRs while much of the south and centre sits behind Mosaic's private managed forest gates, where access runs by permit and agreement and is under active public review (Mosaic launched an access review in 2025 after sustained community pressure). For fluxPoles this is a genuinely good fit: cleared corridors with sightlines, truck access that keeps installs cheap, existing bridges, human-caused ignition risk concentrated exactly where the sensors would sit, and 1–3 km node spacing that matches road geometry.
The two posters. The fluxPod Common poster is updated — the three-way fit-out is now the baseline requirement for every pod (cooking and water heating carry all three paths; lighting and comms are marked exempt as low-draw), and the footnote now supersedes the Rev A.4 all-electric language rather than deferring to it.
